Children listened to instructions well to enable them to complete the activity. Some of them enjoyed doing the leakproof pencil. It really works!

Today children got involved with the walking water science experiment and they did the skittles rainbow experiment. Good work guys!

2023 – Term 3 – Week 2: Science Experiments

Children accepted the challenge in cutting a piece of paper and try to fit all their body through it. It was interesting to see some children proposing different alternatives.

2018 – Term 3 – Week 6: Science experiments

Children made move a pictures and it tricked your eyes into seeing on picture when they are really two – on on each side of a piece of card. This experiment shows how you can see moving pictures on television and in movies.

2018 – Term 3 – Week 5: Science experiments

Today children made bubbles. They experimented the reflection and looked the variety of colours that they formed when they used a torch. They loved to make different bubbles size.

2018 – Term 3 – Week 3: Science experiments

Today children were curious to know more about the hermit crab, so we learnt a little bit more of them. They wrote their ideas about the favourite food for hermit crabs on this paper. They were happy to learn more about them.

2017 – Term 2 – Week 7: Science experiments

This shaving cream rain clouds experiment was fun, easy and beautiful activity to do with kids. Watched as the “rain” fell down from the clouds.

2017 – Term 2 – Week 6: Science experiment

On this day, children helped to mix some elements. We used to glass jars and filled them up with warm water, then some  children put a little bit of baking soda and stirred it up. After that, they hung a string from one jar to the other. Then we will see how the baking soda climbs for the wool in a couple of days.

2017 – Term 2 – Week 3: Science experiment

To do this activity, some children helped me to join the two plastic bottle using a strong sticky tape. Previously we drilled a hole through the 2 caps of the bottle. Some kids suggested to add red and green glitter to the water so we would be able to see a better tornado. You can see what happened in the short video.

2017 – Term 1 – Week 9: Science experiment

Today children made a baking soda art. Each one had a plate with baking soda and a colour in a cup. They used a dropper to start creating an art work, you can see more about it in the pictures below and the video.
